Dr. Mary A. Ambach is a key thought leader in the field of Regenerative Medicine. She is a Louisiana State University trained physician who is double board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. She also has double subspecialty fellowships in Orthopedic Sports and Spine,  as well as Orthobiologics & Regenerative Medicine.

She is a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and Dept. of Orthopedic Surgery. Her prior University  and Academic affiliations include:  Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Western University of Health Sciences in 2014,  Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine in 2016,  and Associated Faculty and Adjunct Professor Sports Medicine Program at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2019.

Dr. Ambach is actively involved in clinical research on the use of orthobiologics for knee osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease in the lumbar spine. 

She has served as Speaker at Regenerative  and Musculoskeletal Conferences around the world, including conferences held by prestigious organizations namely, Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation, The Orthobiologic Institute, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,  American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Orthoregen International Conference, Regenerative Conference in Argentina, among others. She served as Faculty and Instructor on various reputable workshops to teach performance of Orthobiologic (platelet rich plasma, autologous Bone marrow concentrate and microfragmented adipose tissue) procedures, Bone marrow harvesting and concentrating, Microfragmented Adipose Tissue Harvesting and Processing, Interventional biologics spine procedures, including intradiscal biologic injection, Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, Flouroscopic and ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections.

She has been in practice for more than 15 yrs  primarily focused on Orthobiologics and Regenerative Medicine. She became a part of a team of Internationally recognized experts and facility in regenerative medicine at the Orthohealing Center in Los Angeles, California where she provided innovative treatments in regenerative medicine, sports medicine and non surgical orthopedics. She also provided provided musculoskeletal and regenerative treatments to Olympic athletes and professional athletes in and out of the country. She is currently practicing at a leading, regenerative medicine practice at the San Diego Orthobiologics Medical Group.

Professional Awards she received include the San Diego Physicians of Exceptional Excellence Award : 2023 San Diego Top Doctors,  Top Physiatrist in Los Angeles, CA by the International Association of Healthcare  Professionals and the Los Angeles 2018 Orthopedic Honoree by the Arthritis Foundation. While in medical training she was awarded an Academic Achievement Certificate for scoring in the top 25% of U.S. Residents nationally.  She also received University and College Academic Scholar Honors during her Undergraduate Education where she graduated with Cum Laude Honors upon completion of her degree in Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
